“2 years ago I was taking anti
depressants and felt like my life was out of
control and completely overwhelming
me. |
 | |
I had so much to do
and felt the pressure of work and home-life
building up and up. I didn’t know where to start
and consequently didn’t do anything.
Life
got on top of me and I just felt like I couldn’t
cope. I started to get more and more down,
increasingly anxious and the lower I got the
less I was able to think about things in my life
let along deal with them. So I went to the
Doctors who diagnosed with me depression and
prescribed tablets for the condition.
The
pills seemed to help for a while because they
alleviated my anxiety but they also numbed my
other emotions, so there was no feeling happy,
or excited or enthusiastic; I felt like a zombie
like I had a blanket over me that was smothering
me.
Eventually I recognised that I had
to make a change in my life, I didn’t want to
continue like this and I needed to do something
about my frame of mind. Something more than just
taking a tablet each morning.
When I
found equipped4life I was ready to do something
more tangible to change my life but had no idea
what that might be or what direction I wanted to
take.
Equipped4life techniques helped me
to break down my enormous insurmountable
problems into manageable chunks and then gave me
new ways to tackle them. I quickly came off the
anti depressants and life really took a very
positive turn for the better.
Did it work
for me? You bet! In fact it worked so well that
I have since trained to become an equipped4life
practitioner myself and am now helping others to
overcome their hurdles.” |

Stand
Tall Ever noticed
that you can guess a person’s mood just by
observing them? For example, shoulders back
suggests confidence; head down, defeat, depression
or sadness. This is because the way we are feeling
directly affects our physiology as well as our
behaviour. Great News! The reverse is also true.
By deliberately altering your posture, you can
improve the way you feel and the impression you
give to others. Try it and marvel at the
results! |

Sarah is 35, working mother of 2. Life
is hectic and until recently the only way Sarah
managed to get through a day was by popping more
and more anti-depressants.
After the birth
of her first child, she was diagnoses with post
natal depression. And it never seemed to go away.
|
 | |
 |
After her second child, she left the
hospital topped up on more anti depressants. And
for 10 years she has been on and off
them.
No matter how often she spoke about
her condition or upped her dosage nothing changed.
Until Sarah heard of equipped4life. After her
initial consultation Sarah went straight down to
tell her Doctor she wanted to start coming off the
drugs. Her second consultation lead to us in the
equipped4life office receiving a telephone call
from Sarah’s Community Psychiatric Nursing Team
who asked what it was we did to make such a
miraculous change in Sarah. Not that we needed the
proof but its always great to hear other people
recognising our success!
"I feel completely
different, a lot calmer as if a weight has been
lifted off my shoulders. Life on the anti
depressants was like living under a veil. I felt
groggy and numb as the drugs blunted all my
emotions, positive as well as negative. They
lessened the depression but deadened my ability to
feel happy, excited, delighted all the positive
emotions that you love in your life.
The
equipped4life therapy changed my world around! I
immediately felt lighter and came off the drugs
(gradually) now I don’t need them and am feeling
alive, content and happy again." Sarah,
Cheshire 2007
You know we offer a free
consultation, if you or anyone you knows suffers
similarly. | |
